Today, at work was good. I was professional, confident.
Responded thoughtfully, was a sounding board.

I was Death on Casual Friday.
Black shoes, black socks, black jeans, black leather belt, black polo shirt.

I did not want to see:
Blue Eyes
Pink Sweater
White Cardigan
Denim Capri pants
Your smile.

I did not want to hear you say "Hi."

I did not want to respond with a low "Hey," in passing, as if only because it was a social nicety.

Today, at work was good. I was professional, confident.
