YES!!!!!!
OMG HELLS YES!!!!
GOT IT!!!!!!!
Didja read it yet? Didja like it?
Got it, read it. On this first reading my immediate reaction is that ballentine is a money grubbing publisher as this should have been part of the last book. I was disappointed by the ending, and the lack of progress on the overall story arc. This is my first disappointing read from LKH and I hope it is the last.
uhoh...hadn't had a chance to get my copy yet...now i might be glad at the delay? :/
Let me just say that the sex scenes had me squirming! I had to fight the urge several times to join the fun--so to speak.
I didn't like the end as much as the rest of the novel, but I loved how she tied in The Goddess and The Chalice. I'm tempted to compare how she uses the dieties in her book compared to how they are known in traditional folklore.
Also, I want to live in a Sithen!
Overall it was fun to read, but there is a lot going on in the story and even more new characters. At some points it was hard to keep track of it all.
hmmmmmm...ok, that is good news then :) got my copy today...i'm resisting opening it, because once i open an lkh, that's all i do... :)
Ok, finished it.
This would be my second dissapointment from LKHamilton. Les grande sigh
So... The thing about the book is that so much happens, but not enough happens.
The last two Merry books have been like that. Very compressed time frames and loads of action, but little advancement along the lines of the invitation to the Seelie Court, or the succession of the Unseelie throne.
Reminds me a little bit of the X-Files mythology arc episodes: every week was another exciting episode where nothing was revealed.
