How Could Anyone Be Jealous of What We Have?

Oh… Wait.

Yeah, I could see that. ;)

I love to lick and suck.

I love to massage and pull apart.

Kiss and nibble.

I love to probe deeply with my fingers to find that just right spot.

I love to you small and taste.

Lips like flower petals that change in shade toward the center.

I love it when your honey drips.

And I love, love, love to make you come.

Yes.

Feed Me

While I do now read most of my favorite blogs via RSS, I find that there is still a better sense of personality and place for personal blogs when you browse the old fashioned way.

But here is why RSS is good: I use a pocket PC and my cell phone (occasionally) to read news feeds. They rock because they come with me and strip out everything but the post and accompanying images. Compact web browsers do not rock. Most web pages do not scale to a small screen at all. And my RSS readers do the searching for me. They're better than auto-updating link lists because they only pull down updated content, and they will pull down everything new since the last time I updated.

This is really excellent for technical information and news tidbits. But honestly, it removes feeling that good web design imparts. Or… I guess I just don't find erotica via RSS to be all that sexy. Or… I guess that I often can't read RSS in a place where I can let myself go.

At any rate, It's just not the same.

Today I gave myself the treat of going through all of my links, browsing one by one. And I loved it. I just wish I had more time to keep reading that way. Or maybe I need to reduce the nuber of feeds I read so there's more time for regular browsing. Or something.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Bettie Page on DVD

Uh… I had no idea that there were DVDs of Bettie Page.

I had no idea that my bookstore carried those DVDs.

So when I found them today I was compelled to purchase them.

I'll let you know how they are.

I Bought a Mac

I didn't necessarily plan to do it… But I had enough trouble with Windows and iTunes that I thought it was worth experimenting with another platform.

After having it up and running for a few days, I'm reasonably happy with it. It's not going to be my main computer. Not yet. There are a few too many PC applications that I would have to switch from and that's pretty painful, but I still know enough about Macs to cause trouble. And I'm learning again how nicely done the operating system is.

I'm not saying I'm gonna switch. I was tempted at first, but I have run into basically every issue with iTunes and synching my iPod that I had on the windows platfor, save two. First, iTunes hasn't just spontaneously quit on me as I had happen with some frequency on Windows. And I also have not had any spontaneous rebooting like my Windows server box would do.

Causes for joy? Yeah, a couple. Connecting an external firewire drive was faster and simpler than in Windows. It only took a few moments rather than the minute it would have taken Windows to notice a new device then scan through the massive driver database to figure out what it was. Strict control over hardware does have its benefits.

The thing that really, really impressed me was that the little Mac Mini knew how to connect to my Windows 2003 Active Directory domain. I copied over a hundred gigs of MP3s from my Windows server. The connection never failed. It just worked. I'm certain that doing that with a pair of Windows boxes would not have worked as well. In my experience, large copying sessions almost always hang for one reason or another. Fortunately for me this was not the case and I was really glad for it.

I still have some experimenting to do. I want to see how well it handles connecting to a digital camera, and how well the included iPhoto software is at minor image editing.

It's easy to see why people are so fond of Macs. I like mine.

But I'm still not giving up my sleek Sony Vaio laptop. Hell no.

Goblet of Fire

Yes, I did see Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire this weekend.

In short, I think it's the best movie of the four. No, I haven't read the books yet. I'm sure I will one day, but not as yet.

A highlight of the film is Hermione at the ball. She's so fucking adorable I can't stand it. It's really too bad Harry and Ron are such typical boys. Coulda, shoulda, woulda. But too bad for them.

The special effects these days are getting better. While you know a lot of stuff is computer generated, the effects don't get in the way. I was glad for that.

I also liked that this story wasn't all neat and tidy. While you get reasonable resolution, it's also clear that not everything is right in the world. There were also a few glimpses into the back stories of some of the other characters which was nice and clearly leaves room to be explored in the future.

The Dark Arts curriculum and the pool of suitable instructors seem to be very problematic.

It's About the Music

Feels like home.

I need to get involved. Somehow.

I think that it's life. And pretending to do anything else would be the death of me.

Time to face the music.

Yes.

Apologies: Archives Links Broken

Dammit.

It looks like my upgrade to MT 3.2 was not without issue. I never thought to check the archive links in the drop-down menus.

I am currently researching what I did wrong and will fix it when I figure it out.

Updated:

I'm not sure why, but in the URL in the menus, it became imperative that I specify the file index.html in each of my archive folders. I have just updated the template for the site accordingly and I hope to have resolved the issue permanently.

I Am An Industry?

Odd. There are at least three blogs out there who have me categorized as an Adult Industry blog:

Sexy Pam Anderson Blog
Adult Blogs, Inc.
XXX Blogs

While I am completely grateful for the linkage, I feel it is fair to say that I have never performed for cash—not that I wouldn't… While I occasionally write stories that are explicitly sexual, these have never appeared (to my knowledge) anywhere but my own blogs.

I do have an affiliate link to Amazon. I link to them when I am referring to a specific book, piece of music, or movie. This has yet to pay even a single dollar, as I would only receive a commision if you purchased the item immediately on viewing the page on Amazon. As no one does this ever (including myself), Amazon gets free advertising for their merchandise.

I've considered publishing myself via Café Press, but I believe my content would go against their terms of service so I haven't pursued that path further. Meanwhile, I have considered trying my hand at Café Press in other ways and have thought about some designs that might entertain and prove fruitful.

But the blogging itself is for lust, not money.

Unless you want to pay me.

We can talk. ;)

Lili's Burlesque Revue

Saturday night I had dinner with my family and was mocked endlessly about the certain air a golden Cadillac might exude.

I have so far been promised a hat and a cane.

I still think a gold Cadillac is more about Elvis than being a pimp in the 'hood…. but that's just my age talking I guess.

But after dinner I changed into black jeans, a scarlet silk shirt and a black suit coat and headed into the warehouse district in Minneapolis.

My partner in crime for the evening had done some preliminary research and we knew just the place to go: Lili's Burlesque Revue

Sadly, I missed the first dancer or two was we did not arrive until 10:30. The stated show time is 10:00.

The club was… ridiculously intimate. It was a red room, basically unadorned, with a high ceiling and a stage in one corner. There were three musicians playing a stand-up double bass, drums, and an electric guitar that looked straight out of 1953. Those boys were superb.

A woman calling herself Nadine Dubois was the mistress of ceremonies for the evening. She was not at all above demanding drink money from audience members. She allowed men and women both to place these "tips" in her stockings.

Ah! Stockings! There were so many on display during the night! Heavenly!

Miss Dubois had a good rapport with the audience, sang a few songs and did burlesque herself. Joy!

There were several performers that night: Vika, Lola Bel Aire, Lady Luck. The stage assistant for the evening Chloe Wilder got into the act as well. All of the women were really beautiful, each in her way. I made several trips to the stage and the tip purse. I'm such a sucker for legs.

The stand-out performer of the evening, though, was Coco Dupree. She was easily the most commanding stage presence and the most artful of the performers. She was arguably the star of the show.

I really enjoyed myself at the show, and if you're in Minneapolis on the weekend I must highly recommend it!

My Car

As you may remember, I had crashed my Galant a few weeks ago.

Friday I turned in the title for a small check. It was totaled. The cost of the repairs was more than 70% of the actual "blue book" value of the car. So my beautiful black car is gone.

I spent significant time online looking at cars available in my assumed price range, then panicked as my assumed price range was much higher than what I actually got from the insurance company.

In the end, I found a car that puts a grin on my face every time I think about it.

I bought a used Cadillac. A big-assed De Ville D'Elegance. Cash. No payments.

The dealer had several on hand of similar age with similar mileage. There were red ones and green ones and white ones. There was a champagne-colored one with scratches on the driver's side. It only had a cassette player.

But careful deliberation (heh) led me to the model that is most appropriate for my planned road-trip to Graceland.

It's metallic gold, baby.

"Thank you! Thank you very much!"

Soulless has left the building.

Some "Assembly" Required

The bookstore chain I work at has seasonal display materials created by a prominent pop-up book artist, so this year decorating the store was more than just hanging some banners created by the marketing department.

In particular, there are some decorative elements displayed on pillars, mid-store, that required extra reinforcements.

So I found myself repeatedly using the fingers of one hand to part the opening of a long section of cardboard designed to accommodate a metal bar. And of course the other hand was used to guide the bar into the opening and to slide the bar into the channel.

The instructions stated clearly the the metal bar was to be inserted fully until it stopped.

The bullets I was sweating had nothing to do with the effort I was exerting.

Recapping As Much As I Can Remember

God, I'm sorry. It's been such a long time!

I was working a total of three jobs there for a bit. And I was just too completely fried to keep up with my otherwise regularly scheduled nocturnal habits and emissions.

The contracting gig didn't last, They claimed to not have enough for me to do. Actually, that was true. It will blow up on them later that they do not have properly trained staff on site, but that's not my problem now, is it? So I gotta run in tomorrow and return some electronic goodies and get my final hours approved.

In other news, I did quit the convenience store and do not plan to ever go back. Evar! It's beautiful.

So right this very minute I have just the one job at the book store.

Crazy. But that's how it goes.

I have been to a few events of late, one of which was the Suicide Girls Burlesque show, which was here at the Fine Line Music Café.

I have to say, the opening band was completely adorable. It was this three piece from Japan called Tsu Shi Ma Mi Re. They couldn't really speak English, but my God could those three little girls rock! If you do get the chance to hear them or see them, I do whole-heartedly recommend them.

The Suicide Girls themselves were of course hot. There were on the order of 8 to 10 of them who did little teases and scenes individually and in small groups. I seemed to really like one in which one of the girls had her legs up in the air spraying whipped cream onto them… and another in which there were two "school girls" and a somewhat stern "professor/mistress." The "school girls" kissed. Mmmm. Did I mention they were wearing leashes? :: sigh ::

A few nights later I went to a club which advertises Bondage a Go Go on Thursday nights. The club was cool but disappointingly not very busy. On the upstairs level, there was a Domme with two female assistants who was taking folks from the floor to have them participate in short scenes. The was a lot of flogging and dripping-of-hot-wax, but not much else. I thought there may have been a vibrator in use on one woman, but I was not able to see clearly due to lighting and trying to see around the crowd. That and I'm near-sighted.

The Domme was dressed in a lovely corset and heels. She was very enthusiastic about her work. She seemed with her eye contact to know which of her audience members would most enjoy her work. I don't think she looked at me once… yet my companion that evening reported eye contact and smiles from the Domme on several occasions.

In the near future, I suspect I will be going to local gentleman's cub which is advertising burlesque. It should be interesting to see how they handle it as they are known to have all-nude girls—which I can verify from personal experience…

You know I love you and miss you.

I will try to write with more frequency!
