"It's Full of Stars"

My infinity is only getting brighter, more vast, and more fertile with life and possibility.

That's interesting. I've been going through some old things and came across a cassette tape about "successful people". I played it and the man said that you have to imagine success before you can achieve success. With such a postive, life affirming statement as yours, you are at least half way to reaching a few of those stars.
(or you just got laid and you're still floating!! My idea of a little joke!!)

Rob

Rob,

:: smirks ::

Floating aside...

I think there is certainly a lot to visualization, attitude and perception. But it goes so much deeper than visualizing a nice car or a big house. I have been working for years to fix the negative voices in my head.

But I do believe that good things have happened and continue to happen in my life.

This post was intended both as recognition and affirmation of that.

(The title was a nod to a SciFi movie released the year I was born)

Can't say that I am a sci fi afficionado so that passed me by...

There is a saying, 'Begin with the end in mind'. You have to know what you want, where you are going...to take responsibility. Onto the tape again...the man said that the word is made up of response and ability. Your ability to respond. So how we respond to what life throws us is important. Our perception of the event is what makes the difference. So if we had a set back do we give up or dust ourselves off and get back in the game?

D/s works for me because when I can't do this for myself, my very strong minded husband does it for me. If words don't do it, there are options. There's something about a sore bottom that gets one moving upward and onward I find...

Rob

Rob,

I fully agree with all of that. That has everything to do with the work I have been challenging myself with.

You agree with "everything" Sinner m'dear!?
I rather thought you'd agree that *giving* a sore bottom gets you motivated!!! LOL (cheekiness is a bit of a hobby of mine!!)

Rob

Rob,

You see now how I could not be an excellent attorney or barrister.

To clarify, since you've called me on it, I meant "everything" with regard to the emotional and attitudinal.

I do find bottoms, sore or not, to be highly motivational. Highly.

While I do not wish for my own to be spanked, struck, or otherwise warmed, I do find the occasional, figurative, kick in the seat to be effective in reminding me about what is important.

Now excuse me while I go away to think more about bottoms.
